Sprinkler Maintenance Plan for DFW Homes
A sprinkler maintenance plan from Lone Star Irrigation costs from $14.99 a month. It covers a spring start-up, priority scheduling and member pricing on repairs. ◆ plan details being finalized
Sprinkler problems cost less caught early
A North Texas sprinkler system takes a beating: clay soil that moves, a hard freeze most winters, and watering rules that change every spring. Members get a licensed irrigator through the whole system once a year, before the season that breaks it, plus a place at the front of the line when something does go wrong.
- ★Free spring start-up. A full sprinkler system inspection, wye strainer filters cleaned, backflow condition checked, mainline leak check, timer set, rain/freeze sensor inspected.
- ★Priority scheduling. Express-lane priority ahead of non-member requests, the same technician where possible, and emergency shut-offs.
- ★Member discounts. A discount on repair labor and parts, plus membership-only offers. ◆ percentage being confirmed
- ★Convenient auto-renewal. Month to month, cancel with 30 days’ notice.
One irrigation system at one address, anywhere in our Dallas–Fort Worth service area. Billed monthly, renews automatically.

Freeze protection for DFW systems
Most of the winter your system is fine, so nobody thinks about it, right up until the one Arctic front that parks below freezing for three days and cracks backflow bells across the metroplex at once. The backflow bell sits above ground, holds water, and splits first. It is also the most expensive routine part on the system. Precautionary maintenance here means insulating the backflow, draining where needed and setting the controller, not the full blowouts northern states need.
- ★Freeze prep before the cold snap. Members are scheduled for sprinkler winterization before the cold-weather rush.
- ★Spring start-up after it. The system is checked back over before the watering season starts.
- ★Watering-rule changes handled. DFW cities move their schedules every spring; we set the controller to your city’s current calendar.

Maintenance plan questions
Do you even need freeze protection in North Texas?
DFW is a marginal freeze market: most winters you would get away without it, until the one cold snap that cracks your backflow bell. Insulating the backflow and knowing how to drain before a hard freeze is cheap insurance against the most expensive repair on the system.
When should freeze prep happen?
Before the first hard freeze, which in North Texas usually means November. The panic calls come in January. Members are scheduled ahead of that rush.
What does freeze damage look like?
Cracked backflow bells, split copper risers and burst PVC. You will see leaks when the system starts up, or water running before you have turned anything on.
How does billing work?
Family Plan Maintenance is a month-to-month membership billed automatically to the card on file. It renews at the rate in effect at renewal, and you can cancel anytime with 30 days’ written notice. ◆ terms being finalized
Does priority scheduling mean same-day service?
No. Members are queued ahead of non-member requests. It is priority access, not a guarantee of same-day service.
What does the discount apply to?
The membership discount applies to standard repair labor and parts. It does not apply to full system replacements, drainage projects or landscape lighting installs unless stated otherwise at the time of quote. ◆
Can I add or remove add-on plans?
Yes. Seasonal Inspections, Peace of Mind Inspections and Premium Double Check are optional upgrades billed separately, and can be added or removed at any time.
Where is the plan valid?
For properties within Lone Star Irrigation’s Dallas–Fort Worth service area. One membership covers one irrigation system at one physical address.
Questions about the plan?
