SECTION 1 – SERVICE & REPAIR TERMS
1. Scope of Work
We diagnose and repair irrigation systems.
We are not a landscaping, plumbing, or restoration company unless specifically stated.
2. Service Call & Diagnostic Policy
The service call fee covers travel, system evaluation, and basic diagnostic time.
The service call fee is non-refundable
It does not include repairs, labor, or materials
Additional work will be quoted separately and requires approval
3. Tree Roots & Obstructions (IMPORTANT)
Irrigation components are often surrounded or engulfed by tree roots and other underground obstructions.
To complete repairs, it may be necessary to:
cut or remove roots
dig through root systems
disturb surrounding soil and plant areas
WARNING: Cutting roots—including major or structural roots—may damage or stress the tree and can potentially lead to decline or death of the tree over time.
We are not responsible for:
damage to trees, roots, or plant health
decline, instability, or death of trees or plants
changes to tree structure, support, or growth
By approving work, the customer acknowledges and accepts these risks and authorizes root cutting as necessary to complete irrigation repairs.
4. Estimates & Unseen Conditions
Most irrigation components are underground and not visible at the time of inspection. Any estimate is based on visible conditions and typical repair expectations only.
Actual conditions may differ due to:
tree roots
unknown pipe routing or depth
soil conditions
previous repairs
hidden damage
multiple failure points
If additional work is required, we will notify you and obtain approval before proceeding.
5. Pre-Existing Conditions
We are not responsible for:
existing damage or system defects
failures due to age, wear, prior work, improper installation, or lack of maintenance
additional issues discovered during or after repair
6. Secondary & Sequential Issues
Fixing one problem may reveal others. Once pressure, flow, or system operation is restored, additional leaks, broken heads, valve issues, or other failures may become visible.
We are not responsible for:
additional issues discovered after a repair
hidden problems not observable before repair
multiple problem areas within the same zone or system
Each issue may require separate diagnosis, approval, and repair.
7. Secondary Damage
We repair the irrigation issue itself, not surrounding damage or restoration.
We are not responsible for:
erosion, soil washout, mud, or runoff
damage to grass, plants, beds, mulch, or landscaping
concrete, sidewalks, driveways, or hardscape damage
interior or exterior damage resulting from leaks or flooding
restoration of disturbed areas after repair
8. Underground & Unknown Conditions
We cannot guarantee pipe locations, wire paths, sleeve routes, or underground system condition. Additional problems may be uncovered during repair and may require added labor, material, or changes in repair method.
9. Pressure, Leaks & System Activation
Turning on, testing, or repairing a system may reveal hidden leaks, weak fittings, or failing components. We are not responsible for failures due to existing system condition or pressure changes.
10. Electrical & Controller Issues
Wiring, decoder, module, and controller issues may be hidden or intermittent. Diagnosis is based on observable conditions at the time of service. Some issues may require replacement.
11. Service Warranty (Repairs Only)
We provide a one (1) year limited warranty on workmanship and materials for the specific components repaired or installed during service.
This warranty applies only to the exact work performed and does not cover:
other parts of the system
pre-existing conditions
system-wide failures
freeze damage, weather, misuse, or neglect
normal wear and tear
If a visit is requested and the issue is not related to our warranted work, a service fee will apply.
12. Service Payment & On-Site Acceptance (IMPORTANT)
Payment for service work is due upon completion and prior to our departure from the property.
Customers are expected to:
inspect the work
ask questions
request any adjustments
while our technician is on site.
If the customer is not present:
the work is considered accepted
payment is still due
We are not responsible for returning at no charge to review or adjust work that could have been addressed during the original visit.
Return visits may be subject to additional charges unless related to a valid warranty issue.
13. Decision-Maker & Authorization
The person requesting service must have authority to approve work and accept charges.
If no decision-maker is present:
work may be completed as initially authorized, or
work may be paused until approval is obtained
Failure to have a decision-maker on-site does not delay or waive payment.
14. Water Usage
We are not responsible for water usage, water loss, drainage issues, or utility charges.
15. Access
Customer must provide safe access and secure pets. We are not responsible for delays due to access limitations.
16. Consultation Intent
Service calls are intended for customers seeking repair or service.
If consultation-only services are requested without intent to proceed, additional fees may apply.
